Nordic Walking really is on-trend. There is hardly any other sport that is as effective and yet is comparably risk-free and which can be enjoyed by anyone. This gentle endurance sport is also easy on your joints and by using a pole means you can enjoy a full body workout, something which is unfortunately often underestimated. Correct use of the arms is crucial to do this sport properly; they should be really stretched out and therefore be used to "drive". While moving, the elbows are moved forwards and brought behind the upper body, and the whole body is stretched. This means that Nordic Walking is ideal for people who sit a a lot in their daily life.
There are also lots of different variations of Nordic Walking - from quick walking to running with poles – anything goes. Thanks to the gentle beginnings, the sport is also ideal for those who aren’t keen on sport and for people who are overweight. And with the breath-taking scenery of the Pinzgau mountains, practicing this sport is even easier!
